Colorful Colorado

Colorado Garden of the Gods

Oh, Colorado. You beautiful state you. From your astounding peaks, vibrant fall leaves and parks, you are one beautiful, beautiful place. When I moved here in November 2014, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, considering I moved here site unseen. But my oh my, am I glad we did.

You see, moving to Denver wasn’t even in my 1, 5 or 10-year plan. When my husband and I were informed that we needed to make the move from Orange County to Denver the WEEK we got home from our Greek honeymoon, I half panicked and half jumped for joy. My husband (who you will get to know very well) and I secretly wanted to get out of So Cal, but we had our eyes originally set on San Francisco. But this is life, and in life, plans never go according to plan. So we buckled down, fit everything we owned into our two cars, including our Shiba Inu pup, Phoebe (you’ll also get to know her very well), and made the three-day trek to Denver.

The thing about Colorado, actually in general with all traveling and exploring, once you feel that you have seen it all, there is always another leaf that has been left unturned. Since moving here, we have constantly been trying to see it all, try it all, and once you think you’ve been there/done that, you hop into your Lyft for dinner and the driver announces that Denver has opened 10 more restaurants in downtown ALONE this month. HUH?! Oh vey! Good thing we like exploring our new home.

As much as I enjoy being grounded at home in Denver, I grow restless with my constant need for travel and for lands unknown. I created this blog to share my past experiences as well to document my future explorations. Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to sharing my future journeys and past stories with you!
